Mods

Four mods, all free on Nexus Mods, nearly a thousand downloads between them. Each one started as something I wanted for my own game and got cleaned up enough to share.

◆ DRAGON'S DOGMA 2 · VERSION 2.1

Ascendant Arms

Ten new weapons, one for every vocation, and two full outfits: Machinae and the carved-stone Ordo Petrae. Most weapon mods for this game swap out something you already own. These don't. Every piece is a brand new item with its own textures and icon, sitting right next to the game's gear.

The game doesn't ship enough icon space for new armor, so I added two new icon pages instead of painting over Capcom's. When Title Update 4 came out and the first version started hanging people's saves, I tracked it down and shipped the fix as 2.0.

They're sold at Bjorn's Armory and Roderick's Smithy in Vernworth for 50 gold, cheap on purpose. Pick them up early and play with them.

▍ HOW I BUILD THEM

BACKED UP FIRST

Every game I mod gets its own toolkit that I write for it. The rule is the same in all of them: nothing touches your game until it's been backed up and checked, and everything can be undone in one step. I run client websites the same way.

  1. 01BACK UPA copy of every file I'm about to touch, before anything happens.
  2. 02BUILDThe mod gets put together from my own source files, the same way every time.
  3. 03VERIFYChecks that it loads, that nothing from the base game got overwritten, and that the numbers came out right.
  4. 04INSTALLOnly after verify passes. Then I play it.
  5. 05UNDOOne step puts the game back exactly how it was.
MY OWN PLAYTHROUGHS

Most of these are just for my own playthroughs and never get released. Each one knows that game's file formats, its save files and where its numbers live.

  • Dragon's Dogma 2
  • Elden Ring
  • Armored Core VI
  • Knights of the Old Republic II
  • Republic Commando
  • The Last of Us Part I and II
  • Mirror's Edge
  • Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
  • Spin Rhythm XD

▍ QUESTIONS

Can you make a mod for me?

Usually, if it's a PC game. Single-player and offline only, nothing with anti-cheat, so nobody's account gets banned. You get the files, plain install steps and a date. If a game update breaks it within 30 days, I fix it free.

Are there games you won't take paid work on?

Yes. I can't sell custom mods for The Last of Us, Mirror's Edge or Star Wars games, because their mod policies don't allow it. What I build for those stays a personal project. Setup and crash fixes on them are fine.

Where do I download these?

Nexus Mods only. Everything I release there is free and stays free. I don't host mod files on this site.

Got a game you want changed?

Custom mods start at $150. Mod list crashing? Setup and crash fixes are $60 a game. And if one of the free ones made your playthrough better, you can buy me a coffee on Ko-fi.
