CKURO.ART / For Artists
Payout Policy
When you make a sale, you get paid. Here's exactly how that works.
How Payouts Work
CKURO.ART uses Stripe Connect to handle all payouts. When you go through artist onboarding, you connect your bank account directly to Stripe. CKURO.ART never holds your money. It passes straight through to you on Stripe's standard schedule.
The flow from sale to your account looks like this:
Buyer completes purchase. Card is charged immediately.
Stripe holds the funds during its standard processing window (typically 2 business days for US accounts, longer internationally).
Funds are released to your connected bank account on your payout schedule.
You receive 90% of the sale price. Platform fee (10%) is deducted before payout.
Payout Schedule
Stripe pays out daily by default. Funds hit your bank 2–7 business days after each sale, depending on country and bank.
These are estimates based on Stripe's published timelines. Your actual payout speed depends on your bank and country. New accounts sometimes take longer on the first payout while Stripe verifies the connection.
Setting Up Payouts (Stripe Onboarding)
Once approved, you'll do a one-time Stripe setup from your dashboard. Stripe asks for:
- ◈Your legal name and date of birth (for identity verification)
- ◈Your address
- ◈Your bank account details (routing + account number, or IBAN internationally)
- ◈Your tax information (SSN last 4 for US, or equivalent for other countries)
This goes directly to Stripe. CKURO.ART never sees your bank details or identity information. Stripe is PCI-compliant. Your data is handled by them, not us.
You can start listing before Stripe is set up. But payouts and purchases are both locked until you finish.
Minimums & Thresholds
No minimum on our end. Stripe has its own minimums depending on your country, but they're typically under $1 — you'll probably never hit them.
Free downloads don't generate a payout. Nothing to transfer. Free listings are supported if you want to offer work at no cost.
Refunds & Disputes
Digital goods don't get refunded once delivered. A completed download is a completed sale.
If a buyer files a chargeback through their bank or card issuer, Stripe will initiate a dispute process. You may be asked to provide evidence that the transaction was legitimate (delivery confirmation, communication records, etc.). We'll send what evidence we have on our end.
If the chargeback succeeds, the sale reverses and Stripe charges a $15 dispute fee. Uncommon for digital goods, but it happens.
Commissions and physical goods are handled case by case. If a buyer has a real complaint — didn't receive it, or it doesn't match what was listed — contact us and we'll sort it out.
Taxes
We don't withhold taxes from payouts. You're responsible for what you earn — income tax, self-employment, VAT, GST, whatever applies in your country.
US artists who earn over $600 in a year may get a 1099-K from Stripe — not from us. They handle it through your Express dashboard.
This is not tax advice. Talk to a professional.
