VHS Tracking Tear

When a VCR loses tracking, a band of the picture shears sideways, flickers, and fights to re-lock. That tear is the single most recognizable piece of tape grammar, and C-Suite gives it to you as a controllable band: position, height, shear distance, instability.

Automate the band's position in Glaedr and the tear crawls the frame like a bad rental. Gate it to the beat and the tape damage plays the track.

Structural Displacement effects move the picture itself — pixels, blocks, and scanlines leaving their assigned seats. In C-Suite they stack with every other phase, take masks, and (in Glaedr) ride LFOs or the audio, so the destruction lands exactly where and when you choose.
