Difference Blend subtracts a displaced duplicate of the frame from itself, so everywhere the two copies disagree ignites. Displace the duplicate with a wave and the disagreement travels — dark stillness, burning motion.
Subtractive Blending effects turn the image against a copy of itself — differences, divisions, exposures, feedback. C-Suite treats them as layers in a live rig: hold one, cull one, drive the blend amount from audio.
