Motion Swap

Motion Swap is datamosh's stranger sibling: it keeps this clip's pixels but steals that clip's movement, so a face ripples with the motion of water, or a street heaves with the motion of a crowd. Two inputs, one impossible output.

Structural Displacement effects move the picture itself — pixels, blocks, and scanlines leaving their assigned seats. In C-Suite they stack with every other phase, take masks, and (in Glaedr) ride LFOs or the audio, so the destruction lands exactly where and when you choose.
